I’ve been playing around with creating my own fitness workouts in my home gym. Since I mostly don’t want to spend more than 30 minutes working out, I’m really interested in high intensity interval training (HIIT) where you keep your heart rate high for long periods of time with short rests. A great kind of HIIT is Tabata training. Below is a leg tabata I did recently and really loved it.
8 rounds each: 20 sec work, 10 sec rest
Dumbbell lunges (2 x 20 lbs. DB)
EZ Bar Deadlifts (2 x 35 lbs.)
Dumbbell Calf Raises (2 x 25 lbs. DB)
Dumbbell Squat Jumps (1 x 12 lbs. DB)
